Peewee:

Lake Stevens 14, Monroe 7

The Lake Stevens Pee Wees earned a hard-fought 14โ€“7 victory over Monroe, showcasing strong performances on both sides of the ball. On offense, Jace Willis led the charge with an impressive game, scoring two touchdowns and racking up over 150 yards. Defensively, Ke Hayes made his presence felt with three tackles for loss, while Charlie Lau and Dylan Deluze each grabbed key interceptionsโ€”Lau returning his for 20 yards and Deluze for 10. Toa Tevaga added to the defensive dominance with two tackles for loss, helping secure the win for Lake Stevens.

Renton 40, Mariner 0

The Renton Rangers are heading to the North Sound Junior Football League Peewee Division championship after a dominant 40-0 semifinal win over Mariner. Renton controlled all aspects of the game, scoring early and often while its defense shut down every Mariner possession. The Rangers jumped out to a quick 7-0 lead and never looked back, adding 33 more points in a lopsided performance.

Running back Malakai Armstead led the way with two first-half touchdowns, including a 71-yard scoring run that helped Renton take a 20-0 lead into halftime. Devaughn Burrell-Lofton extended the margin with a 62-yard touchdown on the opening play of the third quarter, and Dondre Dowlen followed with touchdown runs of 58 and 30 yards to cap the scoring.

The Renton defense was equally impressive. Mariner struggled to generate any offense as defenders Keneti Finau and Otulau Kamoto consistently disrupted plays in the backfield. The Rangers forced multiple punts and limited Marinerโ€™s yardage throughout the game, preserving the shutout.

89ers:

Renton 12, Cedar Park Christian Gold 7

In a hard-fought North Sound Junior Football 89er Division semifinal, the Renton Rangers defeated the CPC Eagles 12-7 to secure a spot in the championship game. Renton opened with a jolt, as Jeffrey Kamoto returned the opening kickoff 53 yards for a touchdown, giving the Rangers an early lead. Although the point-after attempt failed, the play set the tone for a physical and competitive matchup.

CPC answered with a strong drive led by the running of Crew Carter, but Rentonโ€™s defense stopped the momentum with a key fumble recovery by Dion Webb. CPC later responded with a touchdown run by Jaeden Rich and an extra point from Cooper Richards, taking a 7-6 lead. Just before halftime, another CPC fumble set up a 15-yard touchdown pass from Treyden York to Cameron Charles, giving Renton a 12-7 advantage going into the break.

The second half was a defensive struggle. CPC had early opportunities but could not capitalize as Renton defenders, including Dion Hooks and Quincy Mitchell, made timely stops. The Eagles’ best chance came late in the third quarter, but a fumble recovery by Mitchell halted the drive and preserved the Rangersโ€™ narrow lead.

With time winding down, CPC mounted one last attempt to rally. After stopping Renton on fourth down with 22 seconds left, the Eagles tried to drive the field for a potential game-winning score. The Rangers’ defense held firm, closing the game with back-to-back sacks, including one on the final play. Rentonโ€™s win sends them to the championship, while CPC’s season ends after a tightly contested and disciplined effort.

On offense, Cole Nelson led the ground attack with 9 carries for 131 yards and 2 touchdowns (1 rushing, 1 receiving), breaking several long runs to set the tone. Riley Wade added 33 yards and a touchdown on 7 carries, and Max Pester contributed 55 yards and a touchdown on 7 carries.

Pester also shined through the air, completing 7 of 13 passes for 65 yards and 2 touchdowns, spreading the ball efficiently to keep the Mariner defense guessing.

With the victory, Lake Stevens Junior White advances to the league championship game against a very good Cedar Park Christian football team, carrying strong momentum and confidence into the final matchup.

Cedar Park Christian Gold 21, Eastside 0

The Cedar Park Christian Eagles advanced to the North Sound Junior Football League championship with a dominant 21-0 semifinal victory over the Eastside Crusaders. The win improved the No. 2 seed Eagles to 8-1 and ended the Crusadersโ€™ season at 6-3. Cedar Park controlled the game with a strong ground attack, red zone defense, and multiple takeaways.

Eastside threatened early, driving to the Eaglesโ€™ 1-yard line in the first quarter, but Cedar Parkโ€™s defense made a goal-line stand that shifted momentum. Running backs Isaia Samuelu and Grayson Hall powered the response, with Hall scoring the gameโ€™s first touchdown on a 19-yard run after a long Cruz Conniff gain. Samuelu added a 24-yard touchdown before halftime to make it 14-0.

The Eaglesโ€™ defense smothered Eastside the rest of the way, holding them to just 8 passing yards and forcing four interceptions. Dodger Sherwood, Ashwin Dharmaraj, Tristan Carrasquero, and Jazmere Lynch each had picks, while Jordan Rich and Matthew Barnes Jr. contributed to a defense that kept the Crusaders from crossing midfield for most of the game.

Cedar Park added its final score in the fourth quarter on Hallโ€™s second touchdown, a 7-yard run that capped a clock-chewing drive. Despite a late red zone turnover, the Eagles forced one more takeaway to seal the shutout. With a complete performance on both sides of the ball, Cedar Park now moves on to the league title game with momentum and confidence.

Bantams:

Lake Stevens 48, Mill Creek 12

The Lake Stevens Bantams dominated Mill Creek with an impressive 48โ€“12 victory. Head Coach Alex Burns praised his teamโ€™s performance, saying, โ€œIt was a great day to be a Viking.โ€ He also noted that even the referees complimented both teams for playing a clean, well-disciplined game.

Snohomish 7, Everett 0

The Snohomish Panthers pulled off a major upset in the North Sound Junior Football League Bantam Division semifinal, defeating the previously unbeaten Everett Timberwolves 7-0. Snohomish, the third seed, used a suffocating defense and a game-changing turnover to eliminate the second-seeded Timberwolves and advance to the championship game.

The gameโ€™s only points came in the second quarter when Snohomish linebacker Jaxon Alde returned a fumble 78 yards for a touchdown. The Panthers added the extra point and held that lead for the rest of the game. The score followed a defensive sequence in which Everett had driven inside the Snohomish 30-yard line before a mishandled snap led to the pivotal turnover.

Everett moved the ball at times behind the efforts of Drew Bressler, Chandler Kdep, and Ethan Natividad, but Snohomish repeatedly responded with pressure and timely stops. The Panthers sacked Kdep seven times and forced multiple turnovers, including a key fourth-quarter sack by Hunter Deberry that ended a late Timberwolves drive.

Statistically, Everett outgained Snohomish but failed to finish drives. Bressler rushed for 81 yards and caught two passes for 21 more. Kdep added 54 passing yards and 12 rushing, while Natividad chipped in 40 yards on the ground. Alde led Snohomish with 38 rushing yards, five tackles, eight sacks, and four fumble recoveries in a standout performance. The Panthers now head to the title game, while Everettโ€™s undefeated season comes to a close.

Seniors:

Lake Stevens 46, Ballard 0

In Saturdayโ€™s semifinal showdown against one of their toughest opponents, the Ballard Knights, Lake Stevens took control early and never looked back. After Ballard opened with a strong first drive, the Vikings tightened up on defense, stopped the threat, and dominated the rest of the way.

Offensively, the team dominated behind the leagueโ€™s best offensive line. Tre Hayes powered through for two rushing touchdowns and 90 yards on the ground, while Max Tuor was a driving force with 130 rushing yards, two touchdowns, and a perfect 6-for-6 on PAT kicks. Quarterback Jax Pumire had an impressive day, completing over 70% of his passes for more than 200 yards, including a touchdown connection to Sam Hernandez. Cooper King added another passing score, and Macoy Rabb was a versatile weapon, racking up over 50 rushing yards and 60 receiving yards on four catches. Henry Bauer capped off the game with a touchdown on the final play, finishing with 65 rushing yards.

Defensively, the Vikings completely shut down Ballard. The defensive lineโ€”led by Kyle Eldride, Brigham Aitkens, Kaeo Cruz, and Kali Vaimiliโ€”dominated the trenches with tackles for loss and sacks all day, while Jake Romero and Cristiano held strong on the edges. The linebacker unit, anchored by Tuor, Hayes, and Hernandez, flew around making plays, and the secondary was nearly perfect, not allowing a single reception. Macoy Rabb stood out with several pass breakups and a clutch interception in the end zone, while Eli Ryan locked down receivers with tight coverage and multiple breakups.

It was a statement performance by Lake Stevens, proving their toughness, balance, and focus as they advance to the championship stage.
