Danica Noble has announced her candidacy for the Washington State House of Representatives, Position 1, in the 32nd Legislative District, launching a campaign with more than $42,000 raised and a platform focused on affordability, education and consumer protection.
Noble, an anti monopoly and consumer protection attorney, mother and community advocate, said the campaign will focus on lowering the cost of living for working families, strengthening public education and holding powerful interests accountable.
“I’m running for State Representative because our community deserves a fighter, someone who will stand up to powerful interests and work every day to make life more affordable for working families,” said Noble. “In Olympia, I’ll focus on lowering costs, supporting strong public education, and making sure technology works for people, not billionaires.”
For nearly 20 years Noble served as an attorney with the Federal Trade Commission in Seattle, where Noble worked on cases involving corporations accused of cheating workers, raising prices or limiting competition. The work focused on protecting consumers, workers and small businesses from unfair business practices.
Noble said the experience taking on large corporations has shaped the campaign’s focus on affordability and economic fairness.
Campaign priorities outlined by Noble include addressing rising costs by challenging what Noble describes as a rigged economy, fully funding public education so every student has access to a high quality education and creating policies that protect children and families online while balancing privacy, innovation and safety.
“I will bring my experience enforcing competition law and advocating for families to the State Legislature,” said Noble. “I’m ready to fight for our communities, our students, and our future.”
Noble has also been active in local civic leadership. Noble has spent five years as a PTA advocate across three Seattle public schools and has brought parents, students and translators to Olympia to advocate for education funding.
Noble has testified and presented nationally on artificial intelligence safety, child protection and technology policy and drafted Washington State PTA resolutions addressing artificial intelligence and reducing exposure to violence.
Noble is in the tenth year as co chair of the Antitrust, Consumer Protection and Unfair Business Practices Section of the Washington State Bar Association, focusing on strengthening consumer protections and promoting fair opportunities for businesses.
In addition to legal and education advocacy work, Noble led a statewide grassroots social justice organization for 10 years aimed at raising underrepresented voices in policy spaces and increasing first time civic engagement. Noble also served as a fellow with the University of Washington’s Center for Informed Public, researching misinformation, democracy and market failures.
Noble said the campaign will focus on bringing that legal and community experience to Olympia to deliver results for families in the 32nd Legislative District.
